Tuition & Fees
Class Schedule
- Classes are available for anyone who wants to improve his/her English
- LCI is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students
- Seven levels of beginning to advanced classes are possible
- General education classes include the following:
- Grammar
- Writing
- Speaking
- Listening
- Reading
- Pronunciation
- All Skills (a combination of speaking, listening, reading, and writing in one class)
- A special academic track is offered for students who would like to
attend a college or university eventually. The academeic track includes the following classes:
- iBT TOEFL Preparation
- Academic Writing
- Academic Reading
- Academic Listening
- Concurrent Enrollment in Academic Credit Courses: Students
who meet eligibility requirements may enroll in academic credit courses
(up to five credits) per semester at some local colleges while enrolled
in English language study at LCI. Those interested should make an appointment
with the Registrar for more information.
- Each subject meets four or five hours per week
(see the class schedule)
- Courses are seven weeks long
- Morning, afternoon, and early evening classes are available
- Classes are small (3-18 students)
- The cost is economical: Tuition & Fee Information
- Instructors are qualified and professional
- The Institutional TOEFL test is free to all registered
LCI students and given on the last day of each term
- Test scores are accepted by several Michigan colleges and universities
- Student placement is determined by a test given prior to the start of
classes. LCI administers its placement test free of charge.
Students who have taken a TOEFL, IELTS, MELAB, or
exit proficiency test from an English Language
Program within four months of beginning courses at LCI may submit test results
for placement purposes.
- Certificate of attendance and participation are given to students, upon
request, after completion of the program
